My wife Michelle decided to buy an SUV in December.\u00a0 She knew what she wanted, and we had a little time. I\u2019d known Kurt for several years, and decided to use his services for the purchase.\u00a0 I was skeptical that I couldn\u2019t do it better myself, but was willing to give it a try.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Kurt brought 3 SUVs in from different dealers \u2013 an FJ Cruiser, a Nissan Murano, and a Volvo XC-90.\u00a0\u00a0 We drove to his office, and drove all 3.\u00a0 No driving all over town.\u00a0 Very Cool.\u00a0\u00a0 Michelle decided on the XC-90.\u00a0 Michelle had NO flexibility on some issues like 3rd<\/sup> row seating, black leather, and a moonroof.\u00a0 On color, she was a little more flexible. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Kurt had a buyer go to a Volvo \u201clease-return\u201d auction, where Volvo auctions cars off to dealers.\u00a0\u00a0 We went through this process three times, with different buyers in Kurt\u2019s network, in three different cities.\u00a0 Once, we couldn\u2019t get the car at the right price.\u00a0 Second time, the car we wanted smelled of smoke, and another had been wrecked.\u00a0 Kurt\u2019s buyers protected us.\u00a0 No travel for me: I never did anything but talk on the phone w\/ Kurt.\u00a0\u00a0 Way Cool.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Kurt handled the financing for us.\u00a0 To make sure we were doing ok, we checked w\/ our credit union where our Volvo S-40 was financed.\u00a0\u00a0 Kurt was quite competitive, and we went with him.\u00a0 We also leased, because the rate was better.\u00a0 We\u2019re now very thankful that we leased, because the car has lost value due to gas mileage.\u00a0 If that continues to be the case, it\u2019s the bank\u2019s problem, not ours.\u00a0 Also Very Cool.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        1. The Volvo XC-90 got to town.\u00a0 Kurt had it inspected by an outside company, and it passed w\/ flying colors.\u00a0 I got the report.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

          1. Kurt took it to the dealership.\u00a0 He had all the available \u201cWarranty Work\u201d done on it.\u00a0\u00a0 It was all little stuff, like plastic rings around the door lock knobs, but still.\u00a0 Outstanding.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Then, he had it detailed.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

            1. Kurt BROUGHT IT TO OUR HOME.\u00a0 Delivered the car right to my door.\u00a0 A \u00bd hour drive from his house.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

              1. About 3 weeks later, he brought me my license plates.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t even have to go to the DMV.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

                However, the best part:<\/span><\/p>\n

                >>>>>>>>>>\u00a0 All this, and he brought us the car for several hundred less than predicted at the beginning of the process, and $3,000 less than we expected to spend if I\u2019d done it at the dealership!\u00a0\u00a0 Kurt buys at dealer prices, but doesn\u2019t have the overhead.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

                \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

                When I compare this to my experience in February (after the Volvo S-40, our other car, was totaled) it was night and day.\u00a0 Kurt was out of town on vacation, and I had to have a car.\u00a0 In hindsight, I should have rented a car for two weeks and used him again.<\/span><\/p>\n

                \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

                In short \u2013 A wholehearted, unmitigated thumbs-up to the process, and to how Kurt took care of us.\u00a0 I\u2019ll never do it any other way again.\u00a0 You couldn\u2019t be in better hands.<\/span><\/p>\n
